bag love...

... I have decided that I could never use the same bag everyday... I am always changing mine and forever on the hunt for others to fill any void I think there is in my wardrobe... Satchels, over sized clutches, classic box bags, slouchy leather bags.... The list goes on!
The perfect black or grey weekend bag is next on my list, along with a look-alike celine box bag in tan... Wish me luck!

meant to be...!!!

So I had been umming and ahhing about buying these heeled loafers from Tony Bianco online:

After falling in love with the Prada loafers, then the Miu Miu ones, as well as the Wittner copies I posted about here...Then spying the Beau Coops for Karen Walker ones in this months Shop Till You Drop magazine, I was almost sold!

Add to that a 30% discount code I received for my birthday and I was clicking "add to cart " faster than I could whip out my credit card!

Then.
I spotted these:

Sold.
Checked out.
Now to wait for them to arrive!!

Pantone 2011 Colour of the Year...

A Color for All Seasons
Courageous. Confident. Vital.
A brave new color, for a brave new world.
Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year.
It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it.

Isn't it gorgeous?!
Every year, Pantone, known as the world's authority on colour, releases a colour for the year.
2010's colour was Turquoise, but this year's pinky hue definitely speaks to me more!

Check out Pantone's website here for more insight on this pretty shade!
Also check out The Plastic Diaries for a wonderful beauty post - all about Honeysuckle!

maxi-mum love...

I truly envy those bloggers that come up with quirky post titles, most of them a play on words, or a song lyrics or a quote.... I have never been able to, even though I do sit for a while and think before I hit "Publish Post"!

Hope this title isn't too groan-worthy!

Thank you to the mylookbook.com.au blog for the pretty picture!

on the lookout...

Every now and then, I see something online so fabulous that before I know it, i'm clicking that magic "add to cart" button.

Then I stop and realise that I could probably find a similar item on one of my op-shopping trips!
And it would most likely be a little more quirky and cool and most definitely cheaper!

Here are a few pieces I am on the lookout for at the moment...

Cute, 50's style dresses...especially with pleated skirts!

Cropped pants, either wide or slim legged...
As well as anything in this camel-y, mustard-y hue...

Printed blouses and shirts...

Printed pleated skirts... either knee length, mid length or maxi...

Slouchy, comfy tees... preferably in any shade of grey!

So there you have it! My op shop-shopping list! Will definitely have you let you know how I go and if I get to tick anything off this list!

**EDIT**
I managed to pick up a printed pleated skirt and a pair of dark camel-y cropped men's pants...!!
Success! Now for the other things on my list...

Screen Actors Guild Awards....

Otherwise know as "The SAG Awards", this awards show is held yearly to present actors in film and television with awards that not only acknowledge their individual efforts, but the efforts of a collective, such as an entire cast.

Here are some of my favourite snaps from the red carpet, as well as a list of my favourite winners!

Lea Michele, from Glee, looking a little bit sexy with her perfectly tousled hair...

Gorgeous Mila Kunis, from Black Swan, with some divine softly brushed out curls.
This is one of my personal favourite hairstyles and super easy to do!

Aussie Renee Bargh looking completely stunning with an amazing fishtail side braid!
A hairstyle I will definitely be trying to copy!

A few of the main award winners:
Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture - The King's Speech
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Lead Role - Natalie Portman for Black Swan
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role - Colin Firth for The King's Speech

I have heard wonderful things about The Kings Speech and I adore Colin Firth, especially in A Single Man and Love Actually, so really should take myself to see it.
Watching Black Swan this week with a girlfriend - cannot wait!!
