...the above was a style mantra ( if you will...) drilled in to my head by my mother when I was growing up, along with something similar about red and pink...
...with all the colour explosions happening at the moment, I think all rules are out the window! I love this picture of pink and red and actually have similar items in my wardbrobe which I will clearly have to try together as soon as possible...
...today am wearing dark red coral-y pants and a pale pink blouse, so close enough is good enough I suppose...!!
